Jeremy Mason

Clinical Psychologist

Registered clinical psychologist supporting adults through eating disorders, chronic pain, and anxiety.

About Jeremy

Jeremy is a registered clinical psychologist with a particular interest in eating disorders, chronic pain management, and anxiety. He works with adults (16+) who are looking for thoughtful, evidence-based support.

Jeremy has been in practice for more than nine years across hospital, university health and specialist eating-disorder and chronic-pain services. He trained in psychology at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington, completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology, and a Master of Science. Clients describe him as warm, curious and compassionate — someone who creates a safe, non-judgemental space to think honestly about what's going on.

Therapeutic approach

Jeremy's work is rooted in evidence-based practice and tailored to each person. He draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and approaches designed specifically for eating disorders and chronic pain.

Jeremy's work starts with understanding: helping you make sense of the patterns that keep showing up, and the emotions underneath them. From there, sessions focus on practical skills you can take with you — tools for regulating emotion, softening unhelpful thinking, and building a life that feels workable again. He draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy, choosing what fits you rather than following a fixed script.
